Terms of Service

Last updated Aug 8, 2026
These Terms cover a product still in testing. Pylon is currently running free-entry contests and demo pools; real-money entries are not yet open. Sections may be updated as the product moves through the phases described in Section 3. The version posted here at the time you enter is the version that applies to your entry.
Right now, this site is in beta demo mode. Entries are recorded with no real money involved. There are no deposits, no payouts, and no wallet approvals for USDC transfers. The DEMO MODE banner at the top of every page will be removed only when real payments go live.

1. What Pylon Weekly Pools is

Pylon Weekly Pools is a skill-based prediction contest run by Pylon Pools, Inc. ("Pylon," "we"). Each week you may enter a free-form pick sheet forecasting the outcome of scheduled NFL games. The highest score wins the pool; ties split. There is no tiebreaker — every entry sharing the highest score splits the prize pool equally. A tied, cancelled, or otherwise uncompleted game counts as correct for all entrants. Pylon takes no rake: 100% of entry funds go into the prize pool. Full contest mechanics — entry price, blocking rules, block cap and scoring — appear on the entry sheet for each week and may differ between pools; the mechanics shown on the sheet at the time you enter govern that entry.

2. Non-custodial pool structure

Pool funds are held on-chain, not by Pylon. Entries pay directly into a smart contract (the "Escrow") that we do not control — Pylon can post results, but cannot move pool funds. Winners claim their share themselves. The Escrow's public address and source code are published; anyone can independently verify the pool balance and recompute the winners.

A Squads multisig holds the authority to post results only. Its member wallets and threshold are disclosed. Neither Pylon nor any single Squads member can withdraw pool funds.

3. Beta phases

The site will indicate which phase is live at any given time.

4. Eligibility

You may enter only if all of the following are true:

5. Jurisdiction and fair play

Participation is void where prohibited. Laws governing skill-based prediction contests differ by country, state, and province, and it is your responsibility to confirm the rules that apply where you live before entering. Pylon does not provide legal advice and cannot tell you whether participation is lawful in your specific location.

You agree not to misrepresent your identity or location in order to enter, and not to operate multiple wallets or accounts to obtain additional entries in a single pool. For free-entry contests in particular, Pylon reserves the right to review entries for evidence of multi-accounting before prizes are paid, and to disqualify entries and withhold prizes where such evidence exists.

6. Guarantee, prize funding, and overlay

Any advertised guarantee amount (e.g., "$X GUARANTEED") reflects the minimum prize pool for that week. If entry fees do not cover the guarantee, Pylon contributes the shortfall as a disclosed house overlay — this overlay is players' money to win, competes on identical terms with any other entries, and is fully disclosed. Pylon does not place masked or hidden entries against the field.

7. What we don't do

8. Disputes, changes, cancellations

If a scheduled game is cancelled, postponed past the pool's resolution window, or otherwise cannot be officially resolved, it will be treated per the rulebook posted with that week's pool (typically: correct-for-everyone, matching the on-chain Escrow's tie/void handling). NFL.com is the authoritative results source.

Pylon may cancel or modify a pool before the entry lock time. If cancelled before lock, all deposits are refundable via the Escrow. After lock, the Escrow governs — Pylon cannot unilaterally alter payouts.

9. Winner claims

Winners claim their prize by signing a transaction from the winning wallet against the Escrow. Claims must be made within a disclosed claim window (defaults to end-of-season for a given weekly pool). Prizes not claimed by the claim deadline roll forward into a subsequent Pylon pool per the Escrow's sweep_unclaimed logic — no funds are retained by Pylon absent disclosure.

10. Risk, disclaimers, and limitation of liability

These are contests of skill and you may lose your entry. Pylon makes no representation or guarantee of winnings, profit, or income. Any advertised prize-pool guarantee refers only to the minimum size of that pool — it is not a promise that any particular entrant will win anything.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. You acknowledge that blockchain transactions are irreversible, that you are solely responsible for your own wallet, keys, and transaction details, and that loss of your keys means loss of access to your funds and any prizes owed to them. Pylon cannot recover a lost wallet.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pylon is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, nor for losses arising from network congestion or failure, smart-contract defects, third-party wallet or infrastructure providers, or your own connectivity, device, or key management.

Nothing provided by Pylon is legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for any taxes arising from your participation.

10a. Governing law

Pylon operates from Canada. Governing law and dispute-resolution provisions will be stated here in full prior to real-money entries opening.
